Kuala Lumpur, 20 November 2020 – Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad, a wholly owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad, today launched two new protection products namely IKHLAS Bersama and IKHLAS Dariku during the opening ceremony of Minggu Saham Digital (MSD) 2020. The launch of these new products was witnessed by YB Senator Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, the Finance Minister of Malaysia.

IKHLAS Bersama is an affordable, all-in-one protection plan for individuals from all walks of life. This new product provides basic coverage for death that can be customised with a variety of comprehensive additional coverages (riders), where customers can pick and choose the rider options according to their specific needs. The comprehensive additional coverage options include critical illness coverage, total permanent disability (TPD), hospitalisation (with medical card), hospital income, waiver of contribution and accident related cover.

Meanwhile, IKHLAS Dariku is a protection plan that focuses on the granting of Hibah. In addition to providing assurance to loved ones, IKHLAS Dariku also provides Additional Death Benefits whereby next of kin will be paid an additional 100% of the basic sum covered for death as a result of cancer, additional 200% of the basic sum covered for accidental death and additional 300% of the basic sum covered if the participant passes away whilst performing Hajj or Umrah.

IKHLAS Dariku also provides Cash Rewards to customers upon life events such as marriages, birth of a child, purchase of new homes, performing Hajj as well as traveling to five different countries.

“One unique feature of IKHLAS Bersama and IKHLAS Dariku is that these products have the special benefit of Accelerated Death Expense (ADE). With ADE, the next of kin will receive up to RM20,000 from the immediate coverage amount in the event that the participant dies. This aims to reduce the financial burden of the family due to the death of a loved one ", added Nor Azman.

In line with MSD’s objective in empowering financial literacy via the digital platform, Takaful IKHLAS will also be providing awareness to the public on the importance of takaful, hibah and waqf protection through two virtual talk shows which will be broadcast live on Facebook. These programmes are “BICARA IKHLAS: Capai Bahagia Melalui Hibah dan Wakaf bersama Imam Muda Asyraf” on 20 November 2020 and “IKHLAS Bersama Anda: Sembang Takaful bersama Encik Nor Azman Zainal on 22 November 2020. Both programmes will be broadcast live on MSD Facebook.

Takaful IKHLAS has lined up various activities and promotions throughout MSD starting from 18 to 24 November. Those who subscribed to Takaful IKHLAS products during this virtual event will be eligible to participate in “Cabutan Rezeki IKHLAS” and stand a chance to win exciting prizes such as Apple 10.9-inch iPad Air, Dyson Pure Cool Air Purifier Tower Fan and Apple Watch SE GPS. There is also “Kuiz Facebook IKHLAS” and “Instagram Daily Quiz” where the public can win exciting prizes.
