Kuala Lumpur, 23 December 2021 – Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad (Takaful IKHLAS General), a wholly owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad has taken a proactive step to assist its House Owner/Householder and Home Protect Takaful certificate holders who are affected by the recent flood. This is made possible with the Virtual Interactive Process (VIP) which improves and expedites the claim process for more than 300,000 of its participants. With VIP, claims not exceeding RM10,000 can be processed via the virtual platform and approvals can be obtained immediately.
According to Dato’ Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin, President & Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad, “We wish to ensure our participants that we are here for them and committed to help them during these difficult times due to the prolonged effects of the pandemic and the severe impact from one of the worst flooding incidences in Malaysia. With VIP, we can assist our customers ease their financial burden by expediting their claims process, and as a result, Takaful IKHLAS customers will be able get their claims paid within 3 days”.
Takaful IKHLAS is also extending its assistance to customers affected by the flood through Bantuan IKHLAS Supreme (BIS) program. Customers who have subscribed for BIS is entitled to claim for an Inconvenience Allowance of RM500, for Flood Damage suffered to the Covered Vehicle. The claim process for this benefit is made simple and hassle-free to help ease the customers during this trying time.
Takaful IKHLAS’ commitments in easing claims process is not just limited to House Owner/Householder products and BIS. Dato’ Rudy added, “The Company has also implemented Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to automate its Motor Own Damage and Windscreen claim process to ensure claim approval are completed in less than 24 hours. We believe customers are our focal point and we want to ensure we are able to provide good experience on our services as well as products”.
Despite operating in a challenging landscape, ISM Statistical Bulletin reported that Takaful IKHLAS General had recorded another high Gross Written Contribution (GWC) growth in the General Insurance and Takaful industry from the period of January 2021 to September 2021. The Company saw a GWC growth of 11.7% in the first nine months of 2021 to RM353.2 million from RM316.1 million recorded in the same period last year, surpassing the General Takaful Industry overall growth of 6.7% and General Insurance Industry overall growth of 1.1%.
