Takaful IKHLAS Starts Its CSR Programme For Ramadhan

KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- Takaful IKHLAS Sdn Bhd paid a surprise visit to a poor family just as they were about to break fast today and presented them with RM500 in cash and daily supplies worth RM300.
Muhammad Rashid Khan Abd Hameed, 37, a heart patient, expressed his gratitude to Takaful Ikhlas and said the money will come in very useful for the coming Hari Raya.
"I'll use the money to buy things for the house and prepare for Hari Raya," he told reporters during Takaful Ikhlas' corporate social responsibility (CSR)programme with the Selangor Tithe Centre, in Bandar Puteri, Puchong today.
Muhammad Rashid, who just started work at a private company in Puchong, added that he had to support his wife and seven children on RM1,000 a month.
Meanwhile, Takaful Ikhlas' Corporate Services Department, senior vice-president Yushida Husin said the programme was aimed at instilling the value of helping one another, among the Muslims.
Takaful Ikhlas and the Tithe Centre will be making surprise visits to several poor families identified by the centre, throughout the Ramadhan month.
