Najib Launches 'Skim Takaful Sakinah' For Johor Gov't Staff

JOHOR BAHARU, April 20 (Bernama) -- Takaful Ikhlas Sdn Bhd is offering special financial protection plan to staff of government departments and agencies in Johor.
Launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the 2009 Malaysia Unit Trust Week today, the plan called "Skim Takaful Sakinah" provides Takaful-based comprehensive protection to participants.
Marketed through Insist Amilat Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johor Islamic Corporation, the scheme offers fair and attractive rate to participants' investment account.
Besides savings for retirement days, the scheme was carefully designed to minimise risks.
"It's Takaful Ikhlas' aim to work closely with the Johor state government via the Takaful Sakinah protection scheme for the benefit of state government departments and agencies' employees," said Takaful Ikhlas president Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman.
Takaful Ikhlas targets to achieve RM5 million in annual contribution from 5,000 participants.
Among benefits of the scheme are for normal death, accident death, permanent disability, funeral expenses and hospitalisation, he said.
Staff of Johor government departments and agencies interested to participate in the scheme can obtain further information from the Takaful Ikhlas booth at Padang B, Plaza Angsana, Tampoi.
The booth is opened in conjunction with the Malaysia Unit Trust Week.
Takaful Ikhlas will provide detailed briefing throughout the duration of the Unit Trust Week which ends on April 27.

Moheeb said the inclusion of Skim Takaful Sakinah in the list of Takaful Ikhlas' products was in tandem with the company's continued commitment to develop and enhance its quality products and services to the people.
